The Barbados Aquatic Sports Association (BASA) is the governing body for Swimming, Water Polo and Synchronized Swimming in Barbados. Managed by a Council of elected members, BASA promotes the culture of aquatics by creating opportunities for swimmers and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in aquatic sports through clubs, events and learn-to-swim programmes. The Barbados Aquatic Centre is the hub of the Barbadian swimming fraternity, with the Olympic-size 50M and 25M Learn-to-Swim pools playing host to numerous swimming, water polo and synchronized swimming clubs.
