Raymond EdwardsRaymond Edwards is the lone swimmer representing Barbados at the 19th Commonwealth Games, Delhi, India next month. The 19 year old breaststroker clinched qualifying status in the 200 M breaststroke event at the Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships (CISC) held this year in Havana, Cuba when he stormed the field to win the gold medal.

Coach Antonio MartinezThe former Deighton Griffith/ Foundation School student will be competing in all three breaststroke events: 50, 100 and 200 M breaststroke. Edwards, now a student of The Barbados Community College is a national record holder and a double gold medalist at the Carifta and CISC Championships. He also represented Barbados at the 2ND FINA Youth World Championship held in Monterrey, Mexico in 2008. Raymond will be departing Barbados for the games on September 27th with his Coach Antonio Martinez.
