2010 Scotiabank Long Course Nationals

When the ripples settled on the 20 year old 50 M pool at the Aquatic Centre history had again been created. The sport of swimming had yet been taken to a new level through the excellent performances of its swimmers and the work of the Coaches. These performances encouraged SCOTIABANK, the title sponsor of the Meet, to confirm its sponsorship for the year 2011.

Kudos was paid to the Barbados Amateur Swimming Association for the excellent organisation of the meet and its work in maintaining the sport at a high level. 17 new records were established which included 13 age group and 4 national open female records. Two additional swimmers qualified for the CAC Games to be held in Puerto Rico and Barbados has a Youth Olympic Qualifier in swimming who met the international standards.
