Errol Clarke of Barbados was elected President of CCCAN from among a slate of candidates which included The President of the Mexican Swimming Federation, who subsequently withdrew his candidature in support of Errol, and the Chairman of the CCCAN Diving Committee. Errol; as his attached curriculum vitae indicates; brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the post.

Several firsts

Mr. Clarke has created history as an Official and Administrator of Aquatic sports:

  • He is the first person from the English speaking Caribbean to be a Member of the FINA Technical Swimming Committee.
  • The first Official from the English speaking Caribbean to Referee in swimming at an Olympic competition.
  • The first person from the English speaking Caribbean to be elected President of CCCAN in its 63 year history.
  • The first Administrator in swimming from the English speaking Caribbean to be recognised by FINA for his contribution to Aquatic Sports.
